When you think of Christmas, what do you see? Family visits, decorating your tree, making cookies, wrapping gifts, snuggling up with your favorite movie and hot chocolate, driving through Christmas lights? That is what we think about! At Country Pines, you can start the Christmas season by bringing the nostalgia back from your childhood or starting a new tradition with your family!

At Country Pines you arrive at the red barn, we provide a hand saw and you get to search the field of beautiful scotch pines tree s to find the perfect tree for your home! All of our trees range in heights of 4 feet all the way up to 11 feet tall. We suggest that you measure your space and bring a tape measure to ensure you have found the perfect fit! Is anyone else envisioning the scene from National Lampoon Christmas Vacation movie where the tree is much bigger inside the house than it looked outside? Although that is a great classic scene, you don't want that to be you!

After you find the perfect tree, cut it and bring your tree to the tree barn. We have "tree wrangling elves" at the barn to shake the tree, wrap it and assist in loading if needed. Several families bring a blanket or something to put on the car roof under the tree to prevent roof scratches. Just something to keep in mind when planning your visit!

Once you are all set with your tree, grab your ticket from the barn staff for your tree and shop in our 1600+ sq. ft. heated barn filled with indoor and outdoor Christmas decorations, table arrangements, large Christmas tree ornaments, beautifully decorated trees, homemade cookies, one of a kind hand created festive wreaths, fresh live wreaths and pine roping, tree stands and Christmas tree skirts, tree toppers, mantle decorations, and much more. We also have complimentary hot spiced cinnamon apple cider and our Country Pines blend rich hot chocolate (a favorite of all)!

For the best Christmas tree selection, come early in the season! Our Christmas tree shop & lot will be open from 9am – 5pm on Saturday & Sunday starting November 18th. If you are interested in stopping by at a time not listed, feel free to contact us to make an appointment.

**What is available to do in the area? Cedar Lake Cellars is only a few miles from us, along with other attractions like Big Joel's Safari and local shops and restaurants. This is a great opportunity to create a day of family fun.

How did the farm become Country Pines?

Every family business begins with a dream. Country Pines started with the dream of Allan Wehrman, our head tree wrangler, in 1975. Allan’s dream of expanding the family farming from corn and soy beans to include Scotch Christmas trees and White Pine Christmas trees was met with some resistance. How do you expand a business that will take 8-10 years before it opens to the public? All doubts aside, the first several thousand trees were planted in the spring of 1975. The next nine years were spent hand grooming and pruning, fertilizing and manicuring the pristine 11 acres and adding a big red barn.

In 1984, Country Pines Christmas Tree Farm opened its doors to the public. What a memorable year!

Numerous improvements have been made over the years at Country Pines in Wright City, MO. Some of the highlights were in 2002 when Country Pines expanded the big red barn and enclosed a 1600 sq. foot heated gift shop, where our staff is here to help with Christmas tree decorating tips, if needed. In 2006 we added sidewalks and landscaping to the barn entrance and we are already planning more improvements for our future here at Country Pines!
